Questions? legal@reeve.day
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Reeve mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Please read these Terms carefully. Section 15 contains an arbitration clause and class action waiver that affects your legal rights.
1. The Service#
Reeve is a household operating system for dual-career families. The Service helps households organize schedules, manage documents, detect scheduling conflicts, and coordinate logistics across household members. The Service integrates with third-party calendar and email providers to provide these features.
Reeve is designed for personal, non-commercial household use. Commercial use of the Service requires a separate written agreement with Reeve.
2. Eligibility#
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must have the legal authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of your household.
- You must not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.
- You may create one account per household. Multiple adults in the same household may use a shared account.
- Reeve accounts are for adults. Records about your children live inside your own household account as member profiles, described in our Privacy Policy, Section 7, and are not separate accounts a child can access.
3. Account Registration#
To use Reeve you must create an account using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or a valid email address via magic link authentication. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately at legal@reeve.day if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Reeve does not store passwords. Authentication is handled via Apple, Google, or passwordless email link. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email address and connected authentication providers.
4. Connected Accounts and Permissions#
Calendar integration#
Reeve may request access to your Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or a published iCal URL to read your events for scheduling intelligence. Calendar access is read-only by default. Reeve may write events to your calendar only when you explicitly confirm a proposal. You may disconnect calendar access at any time from Settings.
Email integration#
Reeve may request access to your Gmail inbox (gmail.readonly scope) to detect household-relevant events and receipts. Reeve reads email metadata and body content only to extract this information. Email body content is processed in memory and immediately discarded. Reeve never stores email content. You may disconnect Gmail access at any time from Settings.
Your responsibility#
By connecting a third-party account, you represent that you have the right to grant Reeve the requested access. You are responsible for ensuring that connecting your accounts complies with any applicable employer policies or third-party terms of service.
Revoking access#
You may revoke Reeve's access to any connected account at any time from Settings → Connected Accounts, or directly through the connected provider's account settings. Revocation immediately stops Reeve from scanning the relevant account. The stored OAuth token is deleted within 24 hours.
5. AI-Powered Features#
Reeve uses artificial intelligence to detect events and receipts from email, surface coverage gaps, and propose household events. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI proposals are suggestions, not actions. Reeve never creates calendar events, sends emails, books services, or takes any consequential action without your explicit confirmation.
- AI-generated content may contain errors. Document expiry dates, event details, and other AI-extracted information should be verified by you before confirming.
- Reeve's AI is powered by Anthropic Claude and OpenAI. By using AI-powered features, you acknowledge that relevant data (email metadata, NLP input, document fields) is processed by these third-party AI providers subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
- Reeve does not use your personal household data to train AI models. Data processed by Anthropic and OpenAI is subject to their data processing agreements with Reeve.
6. Documents and Sensitive Information#
Reeve allows you to scan and store government-issued documents and sensitive household information. You acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter or confirm in Reeve.
- Reeve provides document expiry reminders as a convenience. Reeve is not responsible for any consequences arising from expired documents, missed renewals, or inaccurate document information.
- Health notes are entered manually and are your responsibility to maintain accurately.
- Reeve provides reasonable security measures for stored documents, but no system is completely secure. You use document storage at your own risk.
- You should maintain independent copies of all important documents. Do not rely on Reeve as your sole repository for critical household documents.
7. Subscription and Payment#
Free trial#
Reeve may offer a free trial period. The duration and terms of any free trial will be specified at the time of registration.
Paid subscription#
After any free trial period, continued use of the Service requires a paid subscription. Subscription pricing is displayed in the Reeve app and on the Reeve website. By subscribing, you authorize Reeve to charge the applicable subscription fee to your payment method on a recurring basis.
Billing#
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan selected. Payments are processed by Apple (via in-app purchase), Google (via Google Play Billing), or another payment processor as specified in the app. All payments are subject to the payment processor's terms.
Cancellation#
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your device's subscription management settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the Service through the end of the period for which you have paid. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.
Price changes#
Reeve reserves the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.
8. Acceptable Use#
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Upload, store, or transmit content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights.
- Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service.
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without written authorization from Reeve.
- Create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge and consent.
- Provide false or misleading information about yourself or your household.
Reeve reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
9. Intellectual Property#
Reeve's property#
The Service, including all software, design, copy, trademarks, and AI models, is owned by Reeve and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.
Your content#
You retain ownership of all content you provide to Reeve: member information, documents, health notes, and household data. By using the Service, you grant Reeve a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process and store your content solely to provide the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete the content or close your account.
Feedback#
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant Reeve the right to use that feedback without compensation or attribution.
10. Third-Party Services#
The Service integrates with third-party services including Google, Apple, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Supabase. These integrations are subject to the respective third-party's terms of service and privacy policies. Reeve is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service. If a third-party service becomes unavailable or changes its terms in a way that affects Reeve's functionality, Reeve will make reasonable efforts to adapt but cannot guarantee continued integration.
11. Disclaimers#
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Reeve does not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- AI-detected events, document expiry dates, or other AI-generated information will be accurate or complete.
- The Service will meet your specific requirements.
- Any defects in the Service will be corrected.
Reeve is a household organization tool. It is not a legal, medical, financial, or professional advisory service. Do not rely on Reeve as a substitute for professional advice in any of these areas.
12. Limitation of Liability#
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, REEVE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM:
- Missed document renewals or expired documents.
- Scheduling conflicts or coverage gaps not detected by the Service.
- Errors in AI-generated event detection or proposals.
- Unauthorized access to your account.
- Interruption or discontinuation of the Service.
- Actions taken by connected third-party services.
IN NO EVENT WILL REEVE'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification#
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Reeve and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including privacy or intellectual property rights; or (d) any content you provide to the Service.
14. Termination#
By you#
You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Data Controls → Delete Account. Termination cancels your subscription at the end of the current billing period and initiates permanent deletion of your household data within 30 days.
By Reeve#
Reeve may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would violate applicable law. Reeve may also discontinue the Service entirely with 90 days' notice.
Effect of termination#
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Reeve will delete your household data within 30 days of account closure. Sections 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 survive termination.
15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration#
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
Informal resolution#
Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact Reeve at legal@reeve.day and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Binding arbitration#
If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Georgia. The arbitrator's decision is final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class action waiver#
YOU AGREE THAT DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY. YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
Exceptions#
Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court. Either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in court to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.
16. Governing Law#
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to the arbitration agreement above, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Georgia for any dispute not subject to arbitration.
17. General#
Entire agreement#
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Reeve regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
Severability#
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Waiver#
Reeve's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment#
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without Reeve's written consent. Reeve may assign its rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of its assets.
Updates to Terms#
Reeve may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The current Terms are always available at reeve.day/terms and in Settings → Terms of Service.
